ABOUT KRISTIN CHAMBERS

A Life Shaped by Hospitality

I stepped into the world of hospitality at hospitality at fourteen, working in a Boston area restaurant where I first learned how powerful it is to make people feel seen and cared for. I didn’t know it then, but those early lessons would shape a career defined by travel, human connection, and the quiet artistry behind extraordinary experiences.

Over the last three decades, my work has taken me across continents…into kitchens before sunrise, through design studios, vineyards, ateliers, and to the in's and out's of remarkable hotels. What stayed with me was the people. The visionaries, culture makers, and craftspeople whose devotion gives luxury its soul.

What stayed with me was the people.

The visionaries, culture makers, and craftspeople whose devotion gives luxury its soul.

Where it all began

I spent 18 years building custom itineraries through my company,

D.A. Luxury Travel, designing journeys for clients who expected the very best. Working this closely with travelers shaped my understanding of luxury in its fullest sense, not only the extraordinary places and experiences, but the access, insight, and intuition required to bring them together seamlessly.

Those years taught me how to interpret a client’s desires, anticipate their needs, and open the right doors at the right moments. Luxury is personal. It is built on trust, deep knowledge, and relationships developed over time. Through D.A. Luxury, I learned what it means to craft travel with intention, to understand not just where someone wants to go, but why it matters to them.

Raising the standard of advising

As the industry evolved, I then founded TRAVELLUSTRE, a host agency built on integrity, a home for advisors who wanted to practice this work at the highest level, and with the belief that travel advising is a craft worth protecting.

Mentorship sits at the centre of TRAVELLUSTRE. I work closely with advisors to refine their craft, strengthen their businesses, and navigate an industry that is evolving quickly. Helping advisors grow into confident, intuitive professionals has become one of the most meaningful parts of my work.

What guides me now

Hospitality has taught me that luxury is shifting. It is quieter, more intentional, more rooted in the human experience. I’ve made it my work to honour the people shaping that evolution — chefs, owners, designers, wellness directors, and advisors whose creativity and care deserve to be seen.

Today, my focus is on:
• advocating for the art of travel and the craft of hospitality
• elevating advisor excellence across the industry
• mentoring the next generation of thoughtful travel professionals
• sharing insight into how luxury travel & hospitality is evolving, and why that matters

If you love this industry as much as I do, you’ll feel at home here.

The best advice you’ve ever received? When you think you’re nervous—walking into a room where you know no one, stepping onto a call with massive opportunity, or saying yes to something new, that surge isn’t fear. It’s adrenaline. Reframe it as excitement, and everything shifts. Your energy sharpens, your confidence rises, and suddenly you’re not surviving the moment, you’re owning it.

The hardest lesson you learned building your businesses? In the early days, letting fear prevent you from boldly capitalizing on an opportunity.  Truly, just go for it!

What separates a good advisor from a great one? Pro-active hospitality. Hospitality, thoughtfulness and not in a reactive way - a proactive way. - it can be learned if this isn’t a unique ability or a natural state.

The part of hospitality you’ll always defend? Hospitality was never meant to be a volume business/play, it’s a trust business

Early mornings or late nights? Early mornings!

Where will we most likely find you on a rare day off? A nice long hike in the woods with my dog Scotch

An inside look at the moments that make this industry so endlessly inspiring.
